Home Owner Reference Chart & Rating System The mission. List your top Home Owner Friends who can be a Reference for you and allow you to have a Practice Presentation with them on Zoom with your Trainer. RATING YOUR HOME OWNER FRIENDS FOR HIGHEST TO LOWEST CREDIBILITY This is a way to rate HOW WELL THEY KNOW YOU & YOU KNOW THEM. The better, longer, more closely you know them, the higher they rank on your list. THE QUESTIONS. (1 point for each "Yes" answer). Known for 3+ yrs? Know Spouse's first name? Ever invited to their home? Visited them in the past 6 months? Ever done you any favors? ONE POINT FOR EACH YES. Make your list with any 5's first, then rank them 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. 0's probably should be PRACTICE PRESENTATIONS not a Reference. IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT There will be NOTHING TO BUY in this Practice Presentation. It is only to show them "what you will be doing" in your new job. Showing people what Solar can do for them. You will list them in a SPIRAL NOTEBOOK. Keep this notebook where you can find it and ADD NAMES anytime they come to mind. You will have 3 CATEGORIES of people. Home Owner References. These are home owners you will ask to BE A REFERENCE for you for your new job. As part of the reference process, you will tell them this also includes a PRACTICE PRESENTATION your Trainer will do for YOU to watch and learn from. You will ASSURE THEM it will only be about 20 minutes and there is NOTHING TO BUY and they won't be SOLD anything. It is literally a practice presentation for YOU to learn from. These will be your 5's and 4's. Home Owner Practice Presentations. These are home owners you do NOT want to ask to be a Reference. Instead you will only ask them if they will do you a favor. Probably your 3's, 2's, 1's (maybe 0's). You need a FEW PRACTICE PRESENTATIONS where you get to WATCH your Trainer show the Presentation YOU will eventually be doing in your new job. This takes the "edge" off because they WON'T be a "Job Reference." They are just letting you set up a 20 minute practice presentation with NOTHING TO BUY and they WON'T BE SOLD anything. If they are really NOT wanting to help, politely let it go. IF ANY ASK WHAT THIS IS ABOUT If they ask (and likely will) "What KIND of presentation?" Tell them you are working with a SOLAR ENERGY AND EDUCATION COMPANY. The presentation is about how Solar Works, what it does, and it's about 20 minutes. THEN ASK... "Have you guys ever given thought to going solar?" It makes NO DIFFERENCE what their answer is. Yes .. No .. Never ... none of that matters. The only thing that matters is, are they willing to let YOU watch your Trainer do a few of the same presentation you will do after your training. MONEY MOTIVATED Anyone at all, home owner, renter, makes no difference. If they are money motivated, show ambition, say anything about needing more income, complain about bills, the economy, keep your ears open. Say NOTHING to them now, unless you are planning on them being a Reference or Practice Presentation. If you are... ONLY TALK ABOUT THAT. They can become a TEAM MEMBER later. Just not now. But PUT THEM ON YOUR LIST. You can do this! With your friends help!
